MSU students will be holding a bone marrow drive Friday for a University of Michigan student diagnosed with aplastic anemia, a condition in which a person stops producing a sufficient amount of new blood cells.
The drive, which will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Friday near the Owen Hall cafeteria, will support 22-year-old U-M student Daniel Lee, who is trying to find a potential match within the bone marrow donation registry, according to a release.
The drive will be run by MSU graduate students who are friends of Lee.
Participants will complete a short registration form and provide a swab sample from inside their cheek.
